Mercedes-Benz E-Class
The 2007 edition of Mercedes’ ‘bread
and butter’ E-Class lineup now has 29 all-new models,
including 16 sedans and 13 wagons, 2- and 4-wheel drive
versions and gasoline and diesel engines ranging in output
from 136 to 514 horsepower. The high-performance AMG versions
include special bodywork, 18-inch alloy wheels, sport
suspension and the new 7-speed 7G-TRONIC Sport automatic
transmission with racing-style shift paddles mounted on
the steering wheel.
Mercedes-Benz GL-Class
Mercedes’ GL-Class 3-row, 7-seater
premium off-roader is the first full-size SUV from the
world’s oldest car manufacturer. The rear individual seats
can be stowed electrically, providing a completely flat
load surface. Standard equipment includes the 4MATIC permanent
all-wheel drive system and AIRMATIC air suspension, along
with a fuel-efficient 7-speed automatic transmission.
Engine choices range from a 224 horsepower V-6 to a 5.5-liter,
388 horsepower V-8.
Mercedes-Benz ML 63 AMG
The M-Class was Mercedes’ first
foray into the SUV field, and for 2007 the high-performance
ML 63 AMG sets a new standard in sporty off-roading with
a 6.3-liter, 510 horsepower V-8 engine and 7-speed automatic
transmission. Standard features include sports seats,
shift buttons on the leather steering wheel and a special
AMG instrument cluster. Safety equipment includes 2-stage
airbags for the driver and front passenger, front sidebags
and windowbags.
