Mercury Mountaineer
The first-generation Mountaineer
was introduced in 1997, with an all-new version appearing
in 2001. The current 3rd-generation version appeared in
2006. Built in Louisville, Kentucky, the 2007 Mercury
Mountaineer is an upscale SUV that features a power-folding
3rd-row seat, optional DVD-based navigation system and
power-deployable side running boards. Mountaineer features
a simplified series lineup for 2007 and is available in
two models – Mountaineer and Mountaineer Premier.
MINI Cooper
MINI, a British car when it was
first introduced in 1959, was the original ‘pocket rocket.’
Now in its second life as a division of German automaker
BMW, it still drives like a 4-passenger go-kart. Models
include hardtop and convertible versions of the MINI Cooper
and high-performance Cooper S. Powerplants include a 1.6-liter,
115 horsepower 4-cylinder and a supercharged, 1.8-liter,
168 horsepower 4-cylinder with a top speed of 134 mph.
MINI John Cooper Works Kit
The John Cooper Works Kit is a high-performance
upgrade available on both hardtop and convertible MINIs
that includes a limited-slip differential, sport suspension
and brakes, lightweight sport alloy wheels and engine
performance upgrades as well as carbon fiber exterior
and interior trim. Engine enhancements increase the power
output from the standard 169 horsepower to 207 horsepower
and includes modifications to the supercharger, cylinder
head and engine control unit.
