Pontiac Solstice
Solstice is Pontiac’s 2-seat convertible
sports car. The new GXP model joins the line for 2007
with a turbocharged, 2.0-liter, 260 horsepower 4-cylinder
engine under the hood. The Solstice and Solstice GXP are
true rear-wheel drive sports cars with a near 50/50 weight
distribution, 4-wheel independent suspension and 18-inch
aluminum alloy wheels. Drivers have a choice between a
5-speed close-ratio manual transmission and an optional
5-speed automatic.
Pontiac Torrent
The Pontiac Torrent is a crossover
utility vehicle blending the nimbleness of a car with
the capabilities of an SUV and carries a government 5-star
frontal crash-test rating. Changes for 2007 include upgrades
to the ride and interior as well as new safety and convenience
features. Both front- and all-wheel drive models are available.
The standard powerplant is a 3.4-liter, 185 horsepower
V-6 mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission.
Pontiac Vibe
Now on the market for four years,
Pontiac’s Vibe is a crossover utility vehicle with integrated
roof rack and 16-inch wheels. Designed for active lifestyles,
Vibe is equipped with a dual-overhead cam 1.8-liter, 125
horsepower 4-cylinder engine with variable valve timing
to optimize fuel economy and performance. A 5-speed manual
transmission is standard and a 4-speed automatic is available.
All-wheel drive and GT models have been eliminated for
’07.
