Ingredients
1 lb. ground lamb or beef (not too lean)
2 onions chopped fine
1/4 cup rice
1 small can tomatoes
Chopped parsley and mint
Grape leaves
Salt and pepper, to taste
Garlic if desired

Cut stems from leaves and soak them
in boiling water if they are fresh, or wash them in hot water
if they are canned. Wash rice and mix with the meat. Add the
parsley, mint, salt and pepper and blend together. Place a
small amount of this mixture on the grape leaf and roll.
Cover bottom of pan with some leaves, then arrange the stuffed rolls side by side, then cover with a plate, fill with meat broth or water up to the plate, add some lemon juice to the water. Put on the lid and cook or bake for 1 hour. Serve with madzoon.
