    yes he (Arash) was born in Iran, and have lots of iranian songs and Album, actually he is a professinal singer in Iranian music Market (of course not inside iran), you can search for his albums and song. I have no idea about his ancestors, but it’s possible as we have lots of Azeris in Iran (north west of iran) as we are neighbours. any way i enjoyed the song. and i wished they could be first.
    by the way i really enjoyed the Armenia song, very Nostalgic for me.
    i know it’s not my business but just suggest dont enter political matter in other area, every country could have good and bad people, cannot judge all together.
