Terevi Sarma No. 2Ingredients
1 cup rice, washed in warm water
5 lbs. onions, chopped
1 cup olive oil
2 cups water
2 teaspoons crushed dry dill
(or chopped fresh dill)
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon chopped mint leaves
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon allspice
Lemon juice to taste
Grape leaves

Fry the onions in the olive oil in a big frying pan until light brown. Add one cup water, rice and salt, and mix well. Cover and boil a few minutes until the water has been absorbed. Take off the fire, wait five minutes, then add the rest of the ingredients and mix. Follow same directions for rolling in grape leaves as in preceding recipe. Add one cup of water and lemon juice to taste, then cook till finished over slow fire.
