“Pyunik”-“Derry City” meeting is scheduled for July 18, 11:45 p.m. Yerevan time. At the first round of the Champions League elimination matches Armenian Champion “Pyunik” will compete with Ireland’s ex-Champion “Derry City” in Ireland.

The second stage of the Armenian Football Championship ended, though two delayed meetings are to take place.

The 14th tour meetings of the Armenian Football Championship were held without major surprises. As it was supposed the favorites enjoyed victories with high scores.
“Ararat” beat “Ulis” 3:0 at “Republican” Stadium. Marcos Pizeli made a 11-meter penalty kick at the 18th minute. The next two goals were scored by Vahagn Minasyan and Nshan Erzerumyan. “Ararat” took the second place with 29 points. The fixture table is topped by “Pyunik” (31 points). Ararat won over Gandzasar by the score of 1:0 during the second round of the Armenian Football Championship.

The Polish football team has already arrived in Armenia. The team is presently training for the “Euro-2008” elimination match scheduled for June 6.

Armenian 12 chess players displayed rather poor participation in the European chess championship held in Dresden.

Armenian grand masters displayed unsuccessful playing in the International Chess tournament “Aeroflot Open 2007″ held in Moscow.
