Construction of a Centre for Orthodox Studies (Djemaran) will soon begin on top of the Armenian cemetery in Tbilisi. Armenian foreign language specialist Raffy Dikranian told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter that during his recent visit to Tbilisi, Georgia on 6 and 7 September 2007, he was horrified by the fact that a large ditch has been dug out between the recently built Georgian Orthodox Holy Trinity Cathedral and the Armenian “Pantheon Medzats”, where an Armenian cemetery used to be. Armenian Prime Minister Serge Sargsyan is departing for Russia on an informal visit September 24, RA government’s press office told a 
“Azeri soldier Samir Mammadov, who yielded himself prisoner to Armenia, should decide himself where to go: to Azerbaijan or to Europe,” said Avaz Azimov, a coordinator of the International Working Group for POWs and Hostages. 
“The United States condemnation of this tragedy is not at issue; the question is how best to facilitate reconciliation of all concerned parties with each other and with their painful and shared past,” U.S. Undersecretary of State Nicholas Burns said when addressing the Department of State with a report titled “The future of the U.S.-Turkey relations. 
Today Armenian President Robert Kocharian is departing to Georgia on a 1-day informal visit.
“Tomorrow’s Armenia will be better than today’s. We will live in a strong and productive state, which highlights public welfare,” Armenian Prime Minister Serge Sargsyan said in an interview with Azg newspaper. 
Russia and Armenia do not experience the problems our state has with Baku, director of the Institute for Political Studies in Moscow Sergei Markov said when answering the question “why Moscow names Armenia a strategic ally and Azerbaijan a strategic partner.”
Sitting of the Armenian-Russian intergovernmental committee on economic cooperation was held in Yerevan under presidency of RA Prime Minister Serge Sargsyan and Acting Russian Transport Minister Igor Levitin. 
Turkish intelligence provided Israel with information on the Syrian targets allegedly attacked by the Air Force last week without the Turkish government’s authorization, Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Jareeda reported Thursday. 
Mobile TeleSystems OJSC (MTS), the largest mobile operator in Russia and the CIS announced the acquisition of a 80% stake in International Cell Holding Ltd, 100% indirect owner of K-Telecom CJSC, Armenia’s largest mobile phone operator, as well as signing of a call and put option agreement for the remaining 20% stake to be exercised no earlier than July 2010.
