The Republican Square is getting ready for Serge Sargsyan’s gathering. The Square is filled with the flags of the “Republican Party of Armenia”, buses, policemen are in gas-masks.
The road police have closed all the roads to the Square. A huge platform is installed in the middle of the Square and a loud music is heard. Behind the Government’s building seven buses with policemen as well as some police cars are waiting. Read the rest of this entry »

About 17 people are on huger strike at the Liberty Square demanding to recognize the results of the elections invalid. 50-year-old Vanadzor citizen Sargis Avetyan has sewed his mouth and declared that he will not take out the stitches until his demand is taken into consideration. Today the pre-election office for presidential candidate Arthur Baghdasarian released a statement which runs:
“Yesterday at 6 p.m. the Central Electoral Commission held an extraordinary sitting and confirmed the results of the presidential election.
