Ashot Ghazaryan was born in 1949, in Yerevan (Armenia).

1968-1973 studied at and graduated from the Yerevan Art and Theater Institute. He studied at Vardan Achemyan’s course.

1967-1968 worked at the Yerevan Dramatic Theater.

1969 became the winner of the All-Union Leninist Young Communist League Prize.

1973-1974 worked at the Gabriel Sundukyan Academic Theater.

1976 was a soloist in the “Funny Hour” group of Armenian State Variety.

1977-1978 was a singer in “Urartu” ensemble.

From 1979 worked at Armenian Concert Association as staging director for the Mass Entertainment Department. Then he was artistic director of the “Only Laughter” group. Created “Nairi” pop-group and was its artistic director.

Since 1995 to present – released numerous audio and video cassettes involving anecdotes, parody, show programs. Laureate and gold-medal winner of a number of festivals.

In 2001 has presented to a governmental highest prize medal named by Movses Khorenatsi which has presented to him by RA president Robert Kocharyan

For a song “Tery kga” has presented diplom during panarmenian ceremony presentation of the best song “Sayat Nova 2001”.

In 2004 for successes in armenian theatrical and musical arts, and for developing the humorous genre and for 55-th universary, the municipality of Shengavit has presented a memory medal.

In 2004 has been decided to present to Ashot Ghazaryan “A coat of Arms of Erevan” for his services in RA culture and for his 55-th universary.

In 2005 the president of RA Robert Kocharyan has presented certificate of hounered artist.

In first panarmenyan ceremony presentation “Anelik 2006” earned a status of the best humorist.
