The world’s most expensive TV program, in terms of cost per episode, is ER (NBC, USA). At its peak, in January 1998, the makers Warner Bros. (USA), agreed to a three-year deal with NBC for 22 one-hour episodes to be made at a cost of $13.1 million each.
